Thank you for visiting MyTaxRights.org, I hope you find value in the information published throughout the site. As a military veteran and public service attorney, I am fully committed to serving you, the taxpayer. To that end, I launched this free informational website in hopes of providing the public with a one-stop resource for important federal tax information, news, and insight. So browse around, learn something new, and let me know if there is anything my team can do to improve your experience.

About Us

MyTaxRights is an information service company dedicated to educating the public about their federal tax rights and responsibilities. We collect, synthesize, and disseminate tax information published by the Internal Revenue Service (and other trusted sources) in a manner that serves the needs of the average taxpayer. Importantly, we provide the content and resources on MyTaxRights.org at no cost to the public.

By offering free access to simplified tax information, we strive to:

  • Increase basic tax literacy rates;

  • Promote awareness of free or low-cost tax assistance services (e.g., the IRS Free File program and the DoD's MilTax service);

  • Encourage the use of online DIY tax preparation software;

  • Combat tax fraud; and

  • Promote compliance with the internal revenue laws.
