Claim Your Stimulus Payments

On June 29, 2021, the IRS released a new version of its Non-Filer Tool that allows certain individuals to quickly claim any missed or inaccurate stimulus payments (i.e., first and second rounds) or register to receive the $1,400 third-round payment. Follow our simple flowchart guide below to see if you're eligible to use the tool.

1) Did you receive your first, second, and third stimulus payments?

Stop. Do not use the Non-Filer Tool.

No

2) Did you make under $12,400 in 2020? Or under $24,800 if married?

Stop. Do not use the Non-Filer Tool.

No

WAIT, do NOT use the Non-Filer tool if any of the following apply:

  1. You filed (or plan to file) a 2020 tax return;

  2. You were married at any point in 2020 but will not include your spouse's information when using the tool;

  3. You or your spouse can be claimed as dependents on another person's tax return; or

  4. Your main home is not located in the United States.

Necessary Information

You will need the following pieces of information to complete the forms:

  1. Current mailing address;

  2. Email address;

  3. Social security numbers for any dependents (e.g., spouses, children, etc.); and

  4. Identity Protection Personal Identification Number (IP PIN), if the IRS issued you one earlier this year.
